4th Grade Language Arts Classes
Exploring Time and Place Through Writing
8 Classes ( 4 week course starting Tuesday 21st April 2020. Meets 2 X per week Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm PST. 120 minute sessions with 90 minutes of class time and 30 minutes office hours)
Prerequisites: Must have completed 3rd grade language arts and be currently enrolled in 4th grade.
Materials Needed: Computer, Laptop or tablet with camera, audio and video enabled. Safari or Chrome browser. A pencil and a notebook or paper.
In this introductory course, students will be transported to places they have never been before, and times they have never seen. They will allow words to paint pictures in their minds to better understand literature. Throughout the course, students will read a variety of Informative and Fictional passages, expanding their minds to the world of reading. They will be taught how to analyze text, and it’s meaning and theme. Students will engage in discussion throughout the course to expand their perspective.
